What your outbound campaigns are REALLY telling you

January 14, 2025

5 signals from your outbound campaigns – and what they’re really telling you:

Signal #1: Lots of out-of-office replies but no real responses

💡 What it means: Your emails are reaching inboxes (great deliverability!), but your messaging and value proposition aren’t compelling enough to spark engagement.

Signal #2: Tons of opens but no replies

💡 What it means: Opens can be misleading as a deliverability metric. Double down on ensuring deliverability because you should at least be getting “nos”.

Signal #3: Plenty of “nos” but no meetings

💡 What it means: You’re reaching the right people, but your pitch isn’t converting interest into action. Tweak your messaging and value proposition to close the gap.

Signal #4: Lots of LinkedIn connections but no responses

💡 What it means: Your profile is doing its job, but your messaging (and follow-ups) aren’t delivering.

Signal #5: Loads of positive responses but no meetings

💡 What it means: Deliverability and messaging are on point, but follow-ups need fine-tuning. Are you asking the right questions— about timing, existing solutions, or the right point of contact to keep the lead’s attention?

Each of these signals is a clue to where your outreach strategy could improve → what are your campaigns telling you?
