Here’s why this is happening:
😵 They have some degree of interest but they are not dying to talk to you. If you make it hard, they will just not do it.
😵 They are sending you to a channel of communication they prefer. Email is for when they’re back at their desk and have access to their calendar.
😵 They’ve forgotten who you are!! If you send a generic email - they’ll just think it’s a cold outreach from someone else.
Here’s how I keep the cold outreach convo going across different channels:
✅ Treat this new email as a standalone email. Meaning - personalize the interaction, repeat who you are, where you last chatted with the lead and an easy call to action.
✅ Respond on your original platform confirming you’ve sent this email.
Think of this as a handoff between you and yourself. If not done thoughtfully, the handoff becomes a drop off.
